Monkey Advice

Poem, 2015, from allpoetry.com:

True Science by Paula T. Calhoun

A zoologist devised a test to see exactly how smart a monkey can be:

He left, to be found, a toy on the ground, then hid with his camera beneath a tree.

The monkeys he saw appeared, to his awe, to be using the toy to add and subtract.

They’d always seemed dumb when researchers would come, now his photo proves that was an act!

The monkey focuses on family life – eating, nit-picking and playing. Quick witted and intelligent, problems are fun challenges for the monkey. It swings with its long arms from limb to limb, expertly, effortlessly, and nimbly. Adept fingers, it can open cages, lids, doors.

ADVICE: It may be a time for you to use both your intellect and your intuition to solve problems. Research options and solutions, communicate with others to gain their views, then organise a masterly plan. You can be a leader or work cooperatively and collaboratively in a team. Maybe it’s you that needs to reduce the number of work projects that you are juggling. Relax and have fun. Be carefree, joyous, and playful. Life of the party, you make people laugh.

“People go to the zoo and they like the lion because it’s scary. And the bear because it’s intense, but the monkey makes people laugh.” – Lorne Michaels
