Rabbit Advice

Poem, from the book Marshmallow, yesterdayontuesday.com:

A Poem in Praise of Rabbits by Claire Turlay Newberry

A bunny is a quiet pet,

A bunny is the best thing yet,

A bunny never makes a sound,

A bunny’s nice to have around.

Puppies whimper, bark and growl;

Kittens mew and tomcats yowl;

Birdies twitter, chirp and tweet;

Moo-cows moo, and lambkins bleat:

Some creatures bellow, others bray;

Some hoot, or honk, or yap, or neigh;

Most creatures make annoying noises,

Even little girls and boyses.

A bunny, though, is never heard,

He simply never says a word.

A bunny’s a delightful habit,

No home’s complete without a rabbit.

The rabbit is soft in coat and soft in heart. Cute, cuddly, curious, cotton-tailed creature. Magic! A pest too, for farmers and gardeners. When startled, it will freeze in the headlights or run to ground. It is a creature of the moon, of the night, and of the dawn. Fertile and abundant, it represents the beginning of new ideas, new creations, new negotiations, and lots of youngsters.

ADVICE: It may be a time for you to get with the magic – forget your underground burrow and get into Nature. Take a hop around the neighbourhood and see what magical events happen – this is a lucky time for you. Be fruitful and productive – it may be time to use your cute factor to round up your family, friends, and work mates to get things done in a joyous way. Spring cleaning, workplace strategising, or product designing – it’s all possible now, professionally and personally. It’s time to birth something new. Take precautions if you don’t want baby rabbits though! And don’t forget to eat your greens!

“Put your hand inside the hat, search with your fingers. He is the light wrapped inside the darkness. That’s the wonder of Rabbit. We think he’s not in the hat. But he is.” – Mark Andrew Poe
